Direct Energy Bolus is a complementary feed (mineral dietetic feed) for dairy cows that is designed to address the root cause of negative energy balance and therefore achieve quick results. The bolus is specifically developed to reduce the risk of ketosis, a condition caused by a lack of energy.

The bolus contains energy, vitamins and minerals that work together to improve the overall nutritional state of the animal. Additionally, it contains a Pens Stimulant (PS) which helps to stimulate the animal’s chewing activity and improve rumen function. This results in better digestion of feed, allowing the animal to obtain more energy from the feed.

Another benefit of the Direct Energy Bolus is its better acceptance compared to other energy sources. This makes it easier to give the bolus to the animal and reduces the risk of rejection. It is also safe to administer and increases the animal’s energy metabolism.

The feed instructions for the Direct Energy Bolus are to give 1 bolus twice a day for 2 days using a designated bolus inserter. This allows the animal to quickly recover and restore the energy balance.
